In short: I help UK businesses use practical AI. To find businesses that might benefit, I collect publicly available business contact details and information about how a business operates. I use it only to contact that business about my services. You can opt out at any time by replying "no thanks" to any email, or by emailing hello@aigrowthcatalyst.org.
AI Growth Catalyst is run by Chris Jacobs. The data controller is Chris Jacobs, a sole trader trading as AI Growth Catalyst, 38 Victory Road, SW19 1HN. For anything about your data, email hello@aigrowthcatalyst.org.
You are most likely reading this because I sent your business an email. Here is exactly what I hold and where it came from.
I do not collect home addresses, personal phone numbers, social media profiles of individuals, or any special category data. I aim to use general business inboxes (such as info@) rather than personal ones, and I do not record the names of employees or reviewers.
I use this information to contact businesses about services that may help them. My lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): it is reasonable for a business consultancy to contact relevant businesses, using business contact details that are already public, about a service related to how they work. I have weighed this against your interests, and I keep the impact low by:
I do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
If there is no reply, I delete prospect details 12 months after collecting them. If you opt out, I keep only your email address and company name on a "do not contact" list, so that I never contact you again.
When you use the AI discovery call at aigrowthcatalyst.org/call, I collect:
No audio is recorded or stored by me. Your speech is turned into text by your own web browser's built-in speech recognition. Some browsers, including Google Chrome, do this by sending the audio to the browser maker's servers (for Chrome, Google). That processing is covered by your browser's own privacy terms. If you would rather avoid it, email me and we can arrange a normal call instead.
After the call, I email you an acknowledgement, and I may follow up about a quote for a roadmap.
My lawful basis is steps at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), and legitimate interests for keeping notes of our conversations. I keep call transcripts and notes for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we go on to work together, in which case I keep them for as long as needed for that work and for my business records (normally 6 years for anything needed for tax).
Please don't share sensitive personal information (for example about health) or other people's personal details during the call. The call is about how your business runs.
When we work together, I process the contact details of the people I work with, and any data you share for the work. This is covered by our contract, and where I handle your customers' or staff's data on your behalf, we will agree data processing terms in writing first.
